It suits a student who
- Your child wants to be a Chartered Accountant and is comfortable with numbers.
- You want CA Foundation preparation inside the school week, not at a separate centre.
- Maths is a strength, or at least not a fear.
It is not for a student who
- Your child dislikes Maths and wants less of it: SEBA or CEBA carry less Maths.
- Your child wants Computer Science: that is CEBA.

Chartered Accountancy
CA Foundation is the first level of the ICAI course. Named MSBA students from the 2025 and 2026 batches cleared it in May, straight after 2nd PUC.

CA Foundation

What ICAI asks, and what our students have done.
ICAI lets a student register provisionally for the Foundation course after passing Class 10, and sit the exam after passing Class 12. There are four papers: Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude, Business Economics. A student needs 40% in each paper and 50% overall to pass.

What is MSBA in PUC?
MSBA is a Karnataka PU commerce combination of Basic Maths, Statistics, Business Studies and Accountancy, with English and a second language. At Presidency Hebbal it is the combination paired with CA Foundation.
When can my child take CA Foundation?
ICAI allows provisional registration for the Foundation course after Class 10 and lets a student appear after passing Class 12. Most students plan the exam for after 2nd PUC. Admissions can show you how our MSBA timetable fits it.
How many papers does CA Foundation have?

Is MSBA harder than SEBA or CEBA?
It has the most Maths. A student who likes Maths usually finds the load fine; a student who does not will find SEBA or CEBA easier on that side. Accountancy and Business Studies are the same in all three.
